Philip is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 20 years’ experience across the construction and property sectors. His career began with 10 years in construction site and project management, developing a strong practical understanding of how buildings are designed, constructed and delivered, before moving into consultancy, where he spent a further 10 years providing professional advice across a broad range of property and construction projects. He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), with professional accreditation in both Building Surveying and Project Management, and is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and the Association for Project Management.

Throughout his career, Philip has fulfilled a variety of roles, including client-side project management, contract administration and construction management. His areas of expertise include project planning and stakeholder engagement, due diligence, risk identification and management, programming, project team appointment, design team management and coordination, procurement, and the commercial, programme and quality management of the construction phase. This breadth of experience provides a strong practical and technical understanding of building construction, project delivery and the issues that can affect properties throughout their lifecycle.

Philip now specialises in residential surveying, bringing this combination of practical construction experience and professional consultancy expertise to provide detailed assessments of building fabric, defects and condition, together with clear and impartial advice to homebuyers and property owners across Dorset and the South.
